Graduate Volunteers Support Special Events

Graduate and undergraduate students from Lehigh University and other local universities may complete classroom observations, projects with students from Centennial School, internships, practicum, and volunteer their time to assist teachers with special events.

Volunteers, observers, or those interested in career experiences should plan to attend an orientation meeting at Centennial School of Lehigh University.  Orientation meetings are scheduled in the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. The meetings are approximately 1 hour in length and will include:

  1.  An overview of Centennial School
  2.  A tour of the facility
  3.  Review and submission of required forms

All graduates or undergraduates working with students are required to submit the following background certifications and related documents to the school counselor, Nichole Corsi, prior to commencing service as a volunteer:

  • A copy of a photo identification

  • PA State Police Report of Criminal History Record Information (Act 34)

  • PA Department of Human Services Certification Related to Child Abuse (Act 151)

  • FBI Federal Criminal History Report
